The project by Cosima Terrasse and Christoph Steininger deals with the complex entanglement of rejection, insecurity and bureaucratic lunacy, when people arrive somewhere as a foreigner. For the project, the artists conducted interviews with 55 persons that went through the lengthy procedures of registration for a residence permit in Austria. The exhibited cards reflect the conflicting image of administrative identity and personal history.
Offenthaltstitel was exhibited in the gallery So Weit, die Zukunft [SWDZ] in December 2015.
